Default cant get rid of white haze!! any solutions?

so when i was getting my doors off for the first time (and i have no idea if the previous owner had them off before or not) i used some wd-40 to help loosen it up. and it in turn dripped down my doors, and now i have this god-aweful haze under the hinges.. any solutions on how to get rid of it? i've washed waxed scrubbed and about everything to try and get it out.

Maybe some goo gone?

I was going to suggest wd-40 to remove the stains. If all else fails, use some rubbing compound, followed by a polish and then a couple of coats of good wax.

Have you tried CLR or equivalent. Looks like it may be corrosion from the hinges due to living up north in the salt belt. You also can try some rubbing or polishing compound. Try a local body shop they should be able to help you out too.

Don't use rubbing compound! It's way too aggressive and will take off too much. Just use a polishing or glaze with a buffing pad and do a little at a time. If you use rubbing compound, it's likely to take off the clear coat and the very thin coat of paint. Go easy.

I guess I should have put. Disclaimer in there...

Don't use rubbing compound if you're not going to go easy and TAKE YOUR TIME. I've used rubbing compound for years with no issues whatsoever. You just have to go slow with it.

Good luck!!

I have used wd40 many times to remove decals, etc, and never seen this. Did you apply it in the sun and let it sit awhile? It almost looks like acid rain stains..

Weird..I used wd40 all the time and never anything like that. I did run into an issue where I sprayed white lithium grease and got a white film.

Could try a clay bar. Did wonders for taking paint overspray off my Sportage even after it had been there a few years.

Are those Five Finger shoes you've got on? If so, how do you like them?
