Can you put an Atlas II in a JK?
I know they make them for TJ's, but has anyone figured out how to stuff one into a JK? It replaces the stock Transfer Case correct?
It would be going into a JK Rubi with 37's and 4.88's (I'm going to get a D60 rear as soon as one is available that has the speed sensors, etc).
Thanks,
Seth

I have put one is a 2 dr also, about 3 months ago. I originally had the JE Reel drive lines with the stock t-case, if you do it right you dont have to modify the drivelines. The install was pretty easy and strait forward though. The one problem with an atlas install is the t-case shift indicator switch. It is basically as 4 position switch to operate the 4wd dash light and tell the computer what gear the t-case is in so it can put the ESP in the correct mode. The atlas does not have a provision for this switch, it does have a provision for the old TJ switch but is useless for a JK, they could easily make it work by modifying the shift rail to add detents for the switch but they don't. Without the switch the ESP will work normally but will not turn off automatically in 4wd low like it is supposed to, but on the upside you can turn it off manually anytime (in 2wd also) with the button like you can in 4wd high. Advance adapters says they are working on some other thing to address this problem, but probably not any time soon. I'll post up a thread with the complete install when I get a chance.
