Default Can you nite shades the windows?

Ok, I've got a can of nite shades lying around I was wondering if I would be able to use it to tint the three soft top windows? The top is off most of the time but when I have my 2yr old it can get a little warm inside for him and by tinting those windows it will drop the temp a bit? Anyone have any experience or ideals on this?
