Can somebody help with a lift install question????
I posted on here a while back regarding the Tereflex 2.5" coil lift I installed. After installation I was noticing a creaking noise coming from what sounds like the front end. Thinking the control arms may be binding, I loosened all of them while the Jeep sat on the ground, bounced it around as much as I could then retorqued hoping this would fix my problem. I also tried disconnecting the sway bar links and driving it without them to see if maybe they were the cause. Well I am still getting this creaking noise and it seems to be getting worse as time passes. I am worried that if I don't figure this out soon, it is going to cause a bigger problem.
Does anybody have any advice as to what this might be? My suspicion is that the noise is coming from the control arms, but there is no way for me to tell for sure. I am at a loss here and ANY help is very much appreciated
Thanks in advance to all that reply!

could be the links
you got your coils seated in there correctly right? there's a little notch that the end of the spring is supposed to butt against...don't know if that might cause some creaking.

Is it a creak or a squeak? As a very general rule of thumb:
If it is a squeak, then it is probably a tight fit somewhere where there is metal on metal contact. Happens often. Spray some graphite lube on all the new contact points. If you are alone, do one contact point at a time, and bounce the vehicle. When it stops squeaking, that is the culprit and first place to spray if it starts again. Usually one to three times does the trick to build up enough graphite to stop the squeaking.
If it is a creak, chances are it is the need to grease a joint. Not sure what all was in your lift kit, but pump some grease into everything that has a grease fitting. Even if you did it once during installation, it might not be full.

Thanks everyone for all the replies. I'm going to do some more inspection this weekend with a fat friend who should be able to bounce on it hard enough to get it to reproduce the creaking noise. Hopefully I'll be able to pin point it with his help.
