Default Can my 08 2door Tow a 2011 Chevy cruze?

My wife is pregnant and I need to tow her 2011 Chevy cruze 2lt rs from mo to tn. I have an auto 08 2dr jk with 35s and a bolted on hitch like the onesonquadratec. Can I towa car trailer tithe cruze on it? I was thinking of renting a car dolly from usual but the website won't let me because it won't be able too and they inspect the jeep before hand. Please let me know for I am new at this thanks

No way would I attempt that in a 2 dr. Isn't the tow rating like 1500 lbs? If so, don't exceed that. You'd be towing over double what your jeep is rated for, if it is 1500 lbs.

Hate to hijack but this brought up a question. What is the tow rating for a 2007 4 door?

I believe 2dr = 2,000 lbs
4dr = 3,500 lbs

How heavy is the car in tow? How far is the trip? Yes you will be exceeding the tow ratings for sure but if it isn't that far I would just do it. Especially if its just a one time thing, buts that's just me.
I tow a 4000lbs boat 4-5 times each summer. Usually 1.5 hours per trip. Its not ideal but is works.

The question isn't 'can' you. It's a question of 'should' you. And of course, will they 'let' you.

You already know that you shouldn't, but did you actually read what you wrote?

but the website won't let me because it won't be able too
That means that you are trying to get them to sign off on letting you use their equipment to tow a load that is HIGHER than your vehicles max rating. Which I would guess opens them up to a huge lawsuit after you are in an accident and your insurance company drops you on the spot...

Noway I would. I have an '11 2dr sport and tow around 1800lbs of 5x8 utility trailer and Scag mower. I can definitely feel it back there, wouldn't want to pull much more than that.
