Default Can i mount this 30" led bar to my hood without brackets???

This bar I want has the mounts on the bottom. I've seen all the different mounts for mounting a 30" bar to the hood of the JK (I was going to use the KC highlights mount) and see how they screw into the hood location. Can I bypass the mounts and mount this bar directly to the same place as the other mounting brackets?

How will you aim them? Do those brackets allow adjustment for aim?

I think you are going to get a lot of glare mounting that on your hood, btw.

From my experience the KC hood bracket only works with the KC light. I tried multiple different lift bars without any luck. For shorter drivers this location does block some visibility.

They do have adjustable brackets at the bottom. I've talked to several people who run LED's on the hood and they said the glare wasn't that much of an issue.

Thanks Hazmat, I really appreciate you letting me know. I found these online so I will try them...

Default Hood mount led bar.

I've got one used the bumper holes and had to drill one for the wire harness. Works great.

The KC bracket brings the light higher up and more forward. This one doesn't appear to hinder opening the hood the hood prop height but could at full open, against windshield. Keep us posted.

Default Hood LED light bar.

I like the KC mount . I was going to get it but $700 for it is too rich for my blood. $200 and 1 hole in the hood sounds better to me. I reenforced the original holes from the bumpers on the hood with some oversized washers on the underside of the hood its real strong.
