I just now looked at this again and I didn't realize so many people would respond! I went ahead and jacked up the whole front/rear end as needed. I had 2 4-ton jack stands, so I used them. The RC lift went on very easily. I was just being a pansy and didn't want to have to lift both side at the same time. I didn't like the whole end being up in the air if something should fail.

Thankfully, I figured that out before I started the rear. I looked underneath after it was down and the tires on and I saw the problem. They should put a warning about that in the instructions. It was very easy to fix, just took about 15-20 minutes more time.

here it is with the new procomps wheels and 35" tires (sorry for the pic quality - camera phone):

excellent looking jeep, I was getting ready to advise putting the tires on the rims under the jeep as you are installing if you have room. Great backup plan to give you the time needed for help to arrive if somethng should go wrong.

Hey, if you have to weld your gas tank while its still on the truck and full of gas, what better way than to tip it over enough to slosh the gas over away from the weld, assuring that only gasoline vapors wil be on the other side of the hot metal, and using pieces of flammable material to prop it up, while working directly beneath the incipient fulminating deadfall?

Hey, he DID chock one of the tires.
