Those relocation brackets pictured will not work if your JK has power/heated mirrors.

yeah relocating your main mirrors seems like a big hassle. Id prefer to find a small cheap bicycle mirror that I can pop on and off.

You can go buy any cheap mirror,, but I can tell you I'v been running topless/doorless/mirrorless since before summer,, and I have yet to be stopped for not having mirrors. even if you do get stopped,, its a $25 correctable ticket,, no big deal,,( I can make $25 in a weekend). the problem is if you get into a serious car accident and not having mirrors is determined to be a contributing factor, it may increase your civil liability.

Everyone is different. But I don't weigh my mirrors or lack thereof based on the price of the citation if I get caught running without. Anytime you turn, or change lanes without a side mirror, you run the risk of colliding with another vehicle. When safety has a $20 price tag, it's really hard to argue with that in my book. Whether it's the law or not.

What is your time worth? That "cheap $25 ticket" is a half day off of work to take care of. I don't know about you by my hourly rate buys a couple of pair of mirrors.

15 dollars. One piece of Home Depot t bracket bent out at 90 degrees, 2 holes , a pep boys post mirror. Also a couple of washers behind the bracket to separate it from the painted surface. California required two mirrors and your windshield mirror counts as one.

My Jeep had the relocation brackets already installed when I bought it with the mirrors moved. I never have to do anything just take off the doors and go, the one issue is the right side mirror is almost useless with the door on but you get use to it.
