Default California Emissions Laws on Aftermarket intake

So I just put a flowmaster 40 on my JK and I'm loving the new sound and engine response (which could just be in my head) but I want to add a cold air intake next. I was told certain brands won't be legal in California. Can anyone provide more info on this and possibly suggest what intake to go with.

Look for C.A.R.B. approves. Stands for California Air Resources Board. or Communist party, which ever you like

Move out of California.

AEM intake kits come with an official looking sticker if that counts.

What you do is buy any cold air intake you want. Some come with a carb sticker some don't. If you have a carb sticker put it on . If you don't then every 2 years when you go for smog you put your stock parts back on.

First off screw the carb board , second what year is your jeep the reason ask is because you don't get your first smog test for 5 or 7 years after the jeep was made , I just relized it's not even 5 years I hit my 5 year mark and I was not asked to smog , so put it on and enjoy for a few years

Default You didn't know?

Everything in the People's Republic of California is restricted, except sex, and I believe they are working on that now!

I say put one in anyway. Keep the stock intake and change it out before inspection. I installed my volant powercore in less than 30 min!
