I went with the TF upper C gussets, good quality and inexpensive. Def worth doing to help prevent the C's from bending. My welder did them with the tires and axle on, he was very careful.

Did EVO lca skids and gussets. Dropped the axel and removed the springs for access. Did gearing, detroits and sleeves at the same time.

EVO are and the original. Great write up on Project JK to see. Pop off the wheels and weld an inch bead, soak with rags to cool. Alternate sides. My Uncle welded and I was right by him soaking the gussets and joints with a bucket of water and rags.

Having a beer while cooling helps too.

The Evo ones are nice, but the reason I went with the ones from Quadratec was because

1. They are thicker - 1/4" plate steel versus the Evo 3/16" plate steel

2. They are cheaper than Evo. The Evo ones = $89.99, the Q-tec ones = $64.99 (and that's before their discount)
