Default Buyer Beware!!! Olympic 4x4 Products Xtreme Double Slider Bars

Hello. I just wanted to save someone the hardship on the $464 Olympic sliders. After being installed on my Jeep for only 9 months the powder coat has completely broken down. Everyone that sees my Jeep asks me why my 2011 has all that rust on it. After spending the absorbent amount of money on my nicely modded 2011 Rubi, needless to say I am beyond dissatisfied. This Not what I expect for a company claiming quality since 1948. I have emailed and contacted the company several times without a response whatsoever. Please see attached pictures they say it all. BUYER BEWARE. NO Customer Service and POOR quality product, it's too bad being American made.

...yeah i put on 'olympic 4x4' front and rear bumpers and after one winter here on the frozen tundra the front bumper powder coat started peeling and bubbling.

...took a wire brush to it and 'rattle canned' it. looks better than new. still a bummer though...made in the USA should mean top quality! we have got to do better.

Who did you buy from? If you ordered from other site say like quadratec or northridge4x4 or any other, I would contact them as well and help problem get resolved. I'd also contact Olympic on here if they have a profile setup.

When I bought my jeep it had all their bumpers on it... No paint left at all. Powdercoat/paint only lasts a few years here but these were almost new... My duplicolor bedlined PSC bumpers are still perfect...

Damn! thats garbage, if it was on the bottom where you would hit/slide on rocks i understand, but not on the topside/inside of the tubing where your foot goes. unless your a 2,000 lb man wearing cleats.

powder coat is crap for the outside of a vehicle once it gets a chip the metal under will rust and spread under the powder coating untill it bubbels the coating and pops kind of like a big rusty zit . I always try to buy unpainted stuff and paint it myself if I have to buy it with a painted surface I always sand it down and repaint it. The painted stuff you buy never has a good primer under it let alone a good quality paint on top so I strip it and use a good automotive epoxy primer and give it three good coats let it dry for a coupel of days in a hot garadge and then I thin down some rustolium hammer finish and spray three good coats of it on to the part. I like the hammer finish stuff myself it can really take a beating and its easy to touch up.
