Thanks, jedg. I always bench test new designs before install. The last thing I would want is to wire it all up and then have it not work. Well worth the extra time imo.

And when soldering in resistors, GabrlJeep, here is a technique I learned to prevent the leads breaking off over time....

Excellent technique. I had not thought of soldering in that way!
