I am fully aware of the complaint I have an 09 with oil usage issues. Ryan had said that NOT all Jeeps use oil but they do.

I am not aware of any other JEEPS issues as I have never had anything other my JK. My Grand cherokee never lost a drop in the 12 yrs I owned it and I drove the crap out of it. I traded it in on my JK with over 160,000 miles on it...

I can't find it. I don't burn a drop of oil either.

It may seem like there are more that do than don't because people don't usually start threads on these things unless they have a problem.

Hmmm I think there are more Jeeps with this issue than not but whatever....
Most jeep owners? Or some people on this forum?

I will not debate this issue with you... It has been my experience with this forum that many JK owners are having the same exact issue with oil loss. I did not know before last week that this is more common than it should be..

Just getting clarification. Not a debate.

In his defense, I think that with the vast number of Jeeps out there compared to the number who actually complain on this site of oil burning, the percentage is small. We only hear the ones who have the issue. Not all Jeep owners are represented here. I think he's pretty realistic. The Jeep I own and the 6 buddies who have JK's have no burning issues. All differing years (2007-2011).

Lol trust me you are wrong. There are far more JK's on the road that don't burn oil than do. I don't know where you get your info. Yeah, there are plenty of oil burners, including mine, but if you look at total production numbers, they are a minority. All the members on this forum represent a tiny amount of JK owners. If all JK's burnt oil, nobody would buy them....

I didn't know I had a problem until I saw a thread here a year or so ago. Thank goodness for JKforum and the smart guys and gals on it.

Thanks to this I was able to have my oil burner rebuilt and the problem fixed.

There are a number of reasons for the oil use and Jeep is not the only one... Do a wild as$ google on any car "BMW oil use 5 series" what ever they are out there.

Peace!

Been running 5/20 synthetic since my first oil change. I always run good oil/filter combo and it every 5000-6000. With my airaid filter i like to change early. Proper warm up on a cold start helps im sure. I dont fire her up and pin it out of my driveway. Maybe im just a lucky one? Havent added a drop in between changes
