Default Bumper or Winch - Which one to buy first?

I want to start pricing, and looking at getting a winch and bumper, but did not know if I should buy the winch first, then start looking for a bumper to fit it in. Or would be better to get the bumper, then look for a winch to fit in the bumper. Do most bumpers support many different brands of winches?

The Warn Powerplant is the only one I know of that requires more space to mount... very good question!

I love my PureJeep with my Warn M8000. And if you shop around you can get the combo for under 1000 bucks. Postin some pics to give you an idea what it looks like. To better answer your question if you get a winch bumper and no winch you'll just have a hole where a winch would go if you can live with that then I say do the bumper if not buy the winch now and keep it stored until you save the cash to buy your bumper

I ordered mine BOTH at the same time, the winch was here in a few days, the bumper took like 6-8 weeks.

I went with a Warn 9.5ti and the LoD SS Stubby.

and if you choose this set up, put the fog lights in BEFORE you mount the winch.

I like the looks of that bumper.

So would it be best to get a bumper that I like first, and then look to see which winches it supports? Or do most all of the bumpers support most of the winches anyway, so finding a winch I like that fits the bumper I have not be a problem?

Most bumpers will support most winches, like said above the only one you really have to worry about is the warn powerplant. I know the purejeep can will hold it but if you're lookin into somethin else call the manufacturer and make sure the bumper supports it. I would go with the bumper and get rid of the plastic stock.

Where did you order your bumper from?

Well I reckon you could buy the winch first.....and bolt it in the middle of the hood.

I have been looking at bumpers for almost a year and the winches at the same time. I have finally decided to go with the bumper first. There have been several shows that I have been to that have winches on a seriously reduced price, but they never had the bumper I wanted.... I ordered the ARB Deluxe front bumper for my JK....
