Default Bumper pitted-whats next?

I ground off the original finish on my bumper-I plan on shooting it with raptor liner. I got most of the rust off, but there's a good amount of pitting. I sprayed the rust spots with rustoeulm rust coverup and then with acid etching primer-am I ready for the raptor liner? Or do I need to do something about the pitting?

I would imagine the pitting would only be a real issue if you were painting and didn't want it textured where pitted. Since you are raptor lining, it probably won't even be noticeable once covered.

Before I moved my machine shop to our new location, I was neighbors with line-x. I can't tell you the number of times that people would bring in their trucks with rhino liner, rustoleum spray on liner, some bully liner stuff, or countless other spray on or roll on bedliners that were falling off on their own simply because the steel underneath was completely rusted out and falling apart. The guys who wanted their stuff done right would have line-x strip their beds of the junk bed liner then take their trucks over to get the bed media blasted at the powder coating shop, and come right back to have the line-x sprayed in. Line-x is the way to go on stuff like that. Not only does it look better but when you have it done at a shop that knows what their doing, it will last forever. I built a dog house for my pups out of plywood and had them spray the thing with line-x inside and out before screwing on the roof. 9 years later and the house still looks like new. If there had been ANY little flaw in there the plywood would have got wet, expanded, and rotted out by now. Covering up even a little spec of rust with rustoleum will not stop the rust from growing even though they claim to stop rust. Id say pay a little more now and save your bumper rather than make it look good for a while and have to buy another one in a few years.
