Has anyone come accross any PVC or steel front bumper mounted fishing rod holders?

Cabela's has these....they are available in the 4 or 6 holder and are very sturdy.....they are not as big as they look in the picture and mount with 4 screws into the plastic stock bumper.

I prefer this one for the hitch...

Nice. Wish they had one in black though..

Seems like you would need to mount it right where the license plate goes.

Found this rack on the web. Looks good. Do you think the JK bumper can handle it?

Save the cash and go to Wal Mart (at least ours down here have them). In the fishing area, they have PVC already cut and notched, ready to mount, for about $5. Or, as I found out, Ace sells PVC by the foot. If you've got the tools and somewhat of an engineering mind, you can do the entire thing (depending on how many rods you're mounting), for just over $5.

If you go to the Write Ups section and look 2-3 pages in, you'll see two threads on holders. Most were exterior mounted.
