air bumps AND coilovers are recommended if you are going to be doing any sort of high speed washboard runs. If that is not an option, standard coils and limiting straps can be run with air bumps to perform pretty well at speed.

Hopefully Teraflex can chime in on that one. They have put together a specially engineered "prerunner" kit for our JK's that consists of the aforementioned coils, limiting straps and air bumps that is designed for desert running. They should be able to give you an idea what their kit is capable of.

I must also add, you wont want to run a tire larger than 35" on that set up, and you will only achieve your desired performance with a long arm conversion.

How many race buggies have foam bump stops?

In your other post about the same topic you said you were going to do some research. You should read through some threads and get smart on suspension. You will save yourself a lot of money.

If you want to take shortcuts just drive over to Offroad Evolution and tell them to hook you up for blitzing the whoops in the desert. You will want the Double Throwdown front and rear. You can add air bumps to that setup to round it out.
