I was thinking of how I'm going to support the cover as well being that it's going across the whole back cargo area. I figured I can eliminate the support posts (or any support of sorts) if I use a thick enough gauge steel so it won't sag. That was a major concern of mine, that I didn't want to use a material that would sag or bow over time.

So, here's a quick cut and fitting off the CNC machine out of some sheet metal ... Needed to do some trimming and whatnot, but that's why before it's made out of thick steel, I made it with sheet metal.

Sorry for the sun glare in some of the pics...

Just thought of it.... any suggestions for a design of sorts for the cover? Maybe the JK symbol? Might even just slap on some stickers.

You could bead roll jk into it or take your time and do the little jeep that's on the windshield of the newer jks. Just a thought

I don't wanna put too much effort or go crazy on the decal or whatever being that it might get messed up when I throw things up top or slide things on and off. Good idea, but I'd be mad if I spend some time on that and have to worry about messing it up. Who knows - might just leave it as-is with the powder coat.

Smooth would give it a super clean look. Ultimately it's yours and you know what you want so do what feels right.

If you decide you are wanting to put a large decal on it, let me know and I can give you a quote on whatever you want. I have several colors to choose from. I could also make it a negative so it works as a stencil for painting rather than acting as a decal.

Thanks. If I decide on it, I will let you know. I know whatever I would want on a decal won't A) Be common or available, and B) If it is, it won't be large enough to my liking.

I'll keep you posted, thanks again.
