Budget boost no up travel
Just finished an aev bb install on my friends rubicon, in addition to a new aev bumper and smittybilt winch. In the end we ended up with less than 1.5 inches until hitting the bumpstops on the front. We're debating adding new springs or just pulling the bumpstop extensions out. Its still raked so i assume a new set of springs might get the job done. Opinions?

I just went out and measured my stock set up and I have just a hair over 2" between bump stop and pad. this is with 17 front springs. so with your bumper and winch that is probably correct to sag 1/2" travel. I don't believe the spacer kits make up for extra weight up front.

New springs would always be the best way to go.

For reference, my orange sport on the left has 2.5"rc bb, and my buddies on the right has 2"aev bb. I also Installed a fresh set of rubi takeoffs at the same time on mine. I'm about 1" taller which I suppose jives considering my slightly taller lift and fresh springs. We're heading to hollister today to check out both installs.
