Default Brute force CAI

If youve had experiences with one please post both positives and negatives.. I'm strongly considering ordering one from northridge in the next week or so.

Default AEM Brute Force CAI

I'm running the AEM Brute Force CAI, and I have no complaints. It was a very simple installation process. The good things about it are that it made my Flowmaster mufller sound a lot better, and I noticed better throttle response / high-end acceleration (like a powerband on a dirtbike). Not sure about power or MPG gains. Even with the CAI on, my MPG took a hit once I put on all my skid plates, winch, etc., which was to be expected. I live in Pennsylvania, so there's lots of mudholes and river crossings, so I'm eventually going to upgrade to the AEV snorkel w/ the Air Ram. Personally, I think snorkels look badass on Jeeps, but I'm also a firm believer of function over appearance. Depending on if / how you wheel it would determine whether or not you really need a snorkel.

I like mine a LOT! I got the grey colored DryFlo filter. My exhaust really rumbles with it. Definitely helped on the highway for passing power, but not much on the low end. The only negative that I can see is that when it comes time for cleaning the filter, I will have to order one of AEM's cleaning kits.

Also, in the rain/snow the hood gets sprayed with crap, but the filter is bone dry due to the excellent heat/splash shield. My Dad has the AirRaid and it works well, but it gets all cruddy. His filter was red brand new, and now 60,000 miles later... its all black.

Here's what my jeep sounds like with the MBRP/AEM combo.

I like the one I have. Easy to clean. Love the sound when I stomp it down.

I have the AEM Brute Force CAI... Love it... Throttle response in much improved... Sound throaty... As for MPG... The jury is still out on that one. Install is a piece of cake... 30 minute start to finish... Hardest part is getting the IAT sensor out.

Well it should be in this week. I've got a cherry bomb on it that the muffler shop guy told me would sound most like a v8. It kinda sounds like a swarm of bees behind me is it going to help much?
