Broken rear trackbar mount->safe to drive 15 miles?
Heard something break loose this morning. Crawled under and saw this:
Rear trackbar mount is broken. Springs and relo bracket are Skyjacker and trackbar is stock. I ordered the JKS gusset and it'll be here in a few days. I need to drive this about 15 miles to get to my welder. I removed the trackbar completely (from the upper mount). If I keep my speed about 30 mph and ginger the corners am I going to be able to drive this without the rear trackbar for 15 mi? Or am I going to launch a complete rear diff assembly one way and the Jeep frame the other?
Thanks

i would get it towed.
everyone who modifies their rear track bar needs to get it reinforced, i would also have them check the front end for weld cracks also as it looks like you have a lift.

Don't drive on it man. it isn't worth it. Like said above have welder come to you, or tow it. it is just too dangerous. You would be counting on your control arms and driveshaft to keep your axle centered, and they are not up to the challenge.

Been there done that, like everyone else says have it towed. I just fixed mine. Take a look. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-show-tell-33/fixed-my-rear-trackbar-bracket-permanantly-76134/
