Broke Sector Shaft looking to Upgrade

Broke Sector Shaft looking to Upgrade
Was out wheeling a couple weekends back and snapped a Sector Shaft on a stock box. I'm running a 13 JKUR on 35s. Looking to upgrade the system and thinking Redneck ram. What input can you guys pass along? Did you install it yourself and if so what should I know about putting it in? After breaking on the trail and swapping a steering box a few miles down a trail I figure its time to upgrade before going 37s.

I just did the redneck ram, haven't taken it out wheeling yet, but onroad behavior is nice.
You will need to beef up you track bar brackets on both the axle and frame side, and if you are still running factory track bar, tie-rod, and drag link, those will need to be replaced with aftermarket as well.
I did the install myself, and had our welder at work do the welding for me after hours.
Make sure you have a way to articulate the suspension and steering after you first get the ram tack welded, we had to reposition mine 4 times to get it to clear everything. I am running a standard height track bar axle side bracket, and no drag link flip. The ram fits, but it is extremely tight.

I have a RNR and it works well for me. I'd typically say that set up is a slam dunk, but NOT having a core box to return in good shape to them is a huge X factor IMO. I mean, that core is ~$400 if I recall, so maybe the comparison here to think about is 1) another factory box from them (which sounds is not an option), 2) the RNR for ~$1100 (?), or 3) PSC big bore box for ~$900. The PSC box was never something I looked at much due to price, but maybe you should research it a bit. If you can accomplish a steering upgrade that can handle 37s and your wheelin style, while also keeping it simple (no hydro lines to leak or rub), then it might be a viable route to consider.

After having it happen twice to my Dad... I went to a PSC HD 2 box... that has been really strong on 37's... no reason to add hydro steer... it is a strong box. I use their recommended fluid, pump, their resi… and I also added a cooler to it... No problems with 37's... but it is not cheap. The last time I changed out my Dad's it was 10 degrees and a foot of snow 260 miles from home 12 miles back on a 4x4 road... lol. I decided it was worth it to not have it happen to me. He had to leave it there for 4 days waiting for parts to come in. I just said "nope"....
