Default brocken rear shaft, help

So I snapped a rear non rubi driver side shaft today and I found a replacement already. My issue is that I was wondering if there was a way to get the brocken half that is in the differential out without pulling the carrier? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated because the Jeep is torn apart in the garage and I would like not to have to remove the carrier. It has an ARB locker if that makes a difference.

Even if you could get the rest of the shaft out, any metal fragments left in the housing would almost guarantee bigger problems down the road.
