Default Brake lines and ABS wiring question.

I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.

I removed my Teraflex 2.5" BB lift and installed the Rock Krawler 3.5" mid arm lift (lovin it by the way). The kit came with extended brake lines for the front and I ordered a set from Dave @ Northridge 4x4 for the rear. While dropping the front and rear axle to insert springs I notice the first thing to catch while dropping is the ABS wiring.

I installed my front extended brake lines tonight. ABS wiring runs piggyback along with the stock brake lines. Now that I have a 6" or so longer brake line I was wondering if anyone has extended their ABS wiring to match the new brake lines or just leave them as-is. You zip tie your ABS to your new brake lines but there is alot of excess brake line. That excess loop comes really close to the front tires when you turn and actually had a friend that the line came in contact with his tire and wore thru the braded stainless, luckly it didnt go all the way thru. I dont think I will ever flex enough to max out the ABS lines but I dont want them just flapping in the wind. What is everyone else doing?? Pics would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Same question for me... I put on the 3" TF kit with brake lines. Seems like you can get a little more slack from the ABS wires from under the knuckles but brake line still seems a bit "floppy" compared to the stock steel / rubber lines that are pre-formed. Any help?

Slide the rubber grommets, it'll give you a couple of inches more. Plus, don't zip tie the entire line to the brake line, it'll take away the slack. My ABS line is zip tied right at the brake line coupling (hard line to stainless line) then floats to the ABS clip. A lot more slack there and it won't hit anything.

Default How I did it...

Here's how I finally did it...

I slid the two big bottom grommets down about 1-1/2" and also added a slit 5/8"ID heater hose to protect from rubbing on the shock.

Couple good ideas thanks!!

I did zip tie (top and bottom) very loosly so the brake line could slide up or down the ABS line.
