Default brake light and esp light on.

Just recently I noticed my brake light coming n while applying the brakes. I added a brake job to my to do list this weekend. On my way into work my traction control light and esp light came on. I can get the traction control light to turn off by hitting the traction button. Would the esp light be caused by the need for new brakes and did I harm my esp system.

Auto zone will do a free code check to find out what's causing the lights to go on. When the traction and esp went on did the brakes flutter on their own. In my experience this was a wheel sensor, twice.
