Default Brake Cooling and Wheel Choice

Hi all,

Getting ready to order my wheels and I've read some opinions on here about brake cooling and picking a wheel style. Logic would say that having some holes in the wheel face would help with reducing brake fade but I'm not sure how much a factor it would play. I kinda have my heart set on the below style. I think the chrome ring is removable, if it isn't then I won't get them. The chrome hub cap would go into the trash as I'd get the wheels powder coated.
These are 16X8 w/4in BS. I'd would like 4.5 BS in a wheel, but 4 would work too

It's been done before.
I can't see it being a problem off the race track. Daily driving, and on the trail, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not a fan of those wheels but I cant see you having an issue with your brakes. That is usually cause by high speed braking or stopping hard while towing. For everday driving you would be fine.

Thanks for the replies and pics. I've seen that Jeep on here before but couldn't find the pic, thanks! Who's is it? After posting this I was think a bit more about negatives of the design, namely cleaning mud from the calipers. With no access to shoot in some clean water it may be a problem. Hmmmm, gotta think about this more.

Other than the above wheels, I'm looking at these too. These also would be powder coated. Opinions welcome of course!
