Bought JK with extra's
Hi Ladies and Gentleman. This is my first post on a JK forum. I'm a XJ owner that just yesterday bought a JK. My JK came with a Mopar non winch front bumper and a Mopar tire carrier ready rear bumper. Is it possible to customize the front bumper so I can install a winch and Is there a less expensive option than Mopar's $500+ tire carrier.

welcome to the forum!! Ive seen multiple rigs on here with winches mounted to the factory bumpers, you should be able to find some with the search feature on the top right. You should show us your rig!

Welcome to the madness!
I don't know a whole lot about the Mopar bumpers, but it looks like the Mopar winch version is a low-mount system. Great for keeping the winch out of the radiator air flow. Not such good news if your bumper wasn't set up for it. Mounting it on top of the bumper might not work unless it's well tied in to the frame rails.
$500 is a lot for just the tire carrier, but a quick search showed $500 might actually be a good price for the Mopar. If you can really get it for that, you might re-consider.
I take it these are dealer add-ons?

There not dealer add on's. The dealer had no idea they were extra. The PO added them with some other goodies. I might end up selling the front bumper in order to pay for a winch bumper.

welcome, you can check out my album, i had similar add ons which proved to be worth a few hundred dollars towards more off road friendly gear. Hopefully you don't get beat up as badly as i did but maybe your mopar bumpers arent chrome. I took an awful beating and people questioned whether I got ripped off because the couldn't believe it was a rubicon!
