Is body lift only good enough for 2in lift?

Thanks much!
So, if I understood correctly I want to install a leveling kit if I decide for lifting it. My Jeep is automatic. Any difference on the advice? I did not know it made a difference.

So far I am not thinking about replacing the 32in tires that came with it. For what I read, using 35in tires will make mileage go down the drain and will not provide that much gain on the kind of offroad I am planning.

Cheers!

Sounds like you want to do what I did.
I use this particular JK for street and gravel, dirt, fire roads / trails.

-I bought used rubicon shocks which are better then the stock X and Sahara shocks.
Everyone takes them off when putting bigger lifts on so you can get them pretty cheap.
-I also went with a Teraflex leveling kit (pucks) $130ish that will give you about 1 1/2" lift and take care of the rake on the front end. Easy to install. No shock adapters.
-Just put on 285 70r17s Good Year Duratracs. (33s)

So with tires and leveling kit I'm at 2 1/2" higher then when I started. and it looks great.

Thanks!
Yep. You nailed it! It will mild offroad, at least in the beginning.
How about the quick disconnects?
Any brands and types I should look for and any I should avoid?
Cheers!

This kit is 500 anywhere you look...readylift is more because of the hardware...dont you have to replace shocks with teraflex...look at the difference in parts included.. i did some research before making my decision, and i am satisfied...thank you

1) is 2in enough? I still wan to keep good highway performance/comfort/safety.
2) body lift only or I have to install those full kits with shocks, etc?
3) sway bar disconnects. What brand and type? I believe I'll use this only occasionally, so no nee for sophisticated stuff.
4) am I missing anything?

Thanks!
For what you want to do just leave it stock.

I believe that the JKS disco s are adjustable from 0-2" lift and 2.5-6" lift.
Iv got a set of the 0-2" ordered for my stock Sahara.
I also plan on doing the type of offroading you describe and
plan on doing a Full Traction 2" Econo suspension system
which I feel will fill my needs.
Hope this helps.
