Body lifts are crap, just get some coil spacers

BL's are a great way to get just a little more clearance to stop rubbing. they are cheap, don't affect steering or driveline geometry, and go on with relative ease.

Thanks for the responses but I really don't care about everyones opinion. What I asked was if anyone has done the mod yet and have had problems with the manual transmission. Anyone??

So does a buget boost without the space between body and frame. I just about have to agree with FR on this.

And you shouldn't. It's your Jeep, you do what you want.

My cousin did a more body lift with his jk manual and hasn't had any problems.

I remember seeing a write up on jeeps unlimited or jeep forum. Try doing a search on one of those sites.

i've seen several body lifts on tj's and i just don't like them. you can probably get away with a 1" kit without it being too noticeable but anything more than that and your jeep will look like its on stilts.

as far as problems go...i've installed a few body lifts and the jeep seemed to be the easiest one. we were able to do it with a couple of guys and no jacks because the body is so light compared to other vehicles. i don't recall any problems on the jeep. my buddy didn't elect to extend his shifter so it was just 1"shorter.

on other vehicles though....i've seen kits with missing parts, brackets that didn't fit, steering adapters that didn't fit, missing blocks, etc.
