Short showers, but makes a big difference.
i think a gear trailer is the answer. then weight becomes less of an issue.
if you were part of an expedition team, one of the team jeeps could tow a water buffalo

Yeah I have taken it into account that I will have to cut the rear storage area out and I am going to put a marine storage hatch for an easy access to everything.

My plan now it to build a box in place of the rear storage compartment to hold the tank, pump, and hose for shower. That way everything is confined to one area. Also if I make it big enough it could house an on board air system.

it was a pain to install but works great. First couple of yrs i just used a water jug and gravity flowed water thru the heater, but then finally plumbed in the rear bumper and a pump.

Thank you for your right up, I have considered running a heat exchanger for heated water but for now I am not too concerned with heater water since we mostly camp in the summer time for now. Also I have seen heated blanket type things that go under the water tank that heat the water up and only takes 12 volts to run and is under $50 so I will prolly go that way eventually.

I have gotten in touch with someone to build be a box that the water tank with sit down in. I will be cutting out the floor where the storage compartment is in the back and relocating the exhaust so the planning stages are now done, now it's a matter of building and fabbing and buying everything to get it done. Can't wait to get it all in so I can start.
