On Board Air Help
I'm looking to get an air system for my jeep I want mount it somewhere in the trunk, I would use it for re filling my 35's after deflating them for wheeling. I would also like to be able to run air tools. What system shouldn't look at? And what since tank should I run?

I run the Viair dual 480c with a 2.5 gallon tank. Runs up to 200 psi cuts off and cuts on at 165.
Fast refill with the smaller tank. Runs a impact just fine. Sometimes you gotta let the tank fill back up. Airs up a 37 from 12 to 26 right at a minute.

On board air
I went with Kilby under hood OBA. They have a relocation kit for the EVAP then the tank mounts where the EVAP was. The compressor fits under the alternator on my 08. Fills my 35's and will run air tools.

I wouldn't "cook" a compressor in the engine bay, or let it suck the hot air.
For operating tools and fast inflating, a twin-head compressor is the answer.
It's the second Jeep in which I use the ARB twin head. One of the most reliable compressors, and probably the smallest.
I use a pneumatic impact wrench and a cutting disk -- works real nice.
In the previous Jeep it was installed in a frame, with the air tank on top. The air tank was made from a fire extinguisher...
This time, I got the portable twin ARB - everything in a case:
The portable case allows more freedom in arranging the storage space.
I plan to add a thick wire directly from the battery to the rear, so I can connect the compressor to a socket.
