Default Blue Ox baseplate with aftermarket bumper

Hi all,

I bought my 2014 JK with the aftermarket bumper already installed, but no information on the manufacturer. Now I need to get the Bue Ox baseplate installed to tow the JK after my motorhome, need help figuring out if I can do it with this bumper or if I have to revert back to stock. Anyone can identify what I have? Are there likely to be problems with the Blue Ox baseplate?

If you haven't done so already, I would suggest you check with Blue Ox or Roadmaster to see if you can find an adapter to fit your aftermarket bumper.

I found adapters for my Roadmaster Tow set up to fit the D-Rings on my Smitty Built bumper for just over $100 on Amazon. You simply remove the original connector and re-install the new end. Check out E-Trailer for an example. I found videos on their site which explain the options.

Good luck!

Do you have a lift on your JK?
