Has anyone else had this problem with there jk mine is a 08 supercharged rubi.

 

From what I've read on this forum, it is not surprising that beefing up one Jeep component would expose a weakness in another.

But, I'm curious: Has the transmission ever overheated that you know of? I don't think the '08 has a "Hot Oil" warning light, but sometimes an overheated autobox will boil out the dipstick tube letting you know its too hot.

 

never over heated that im aware of??

 

Not to mention the added stress from a supercharger...

 

truck was never wheeled b4 i got my hand on it i put 300 miles on it and gear 3 and 4 are burnt. this was used as a demo vehicle for ripp

 

jeeps need to be off roading and climbing rocks. i would be driven the beemer if i wanted something to be nice to. just didnt make sense to me i really wasnt abusing it i was very easy on it. even with a bad tranie and all the headache that comes with it i still love it!!!

hahahaha I LIKED THAT .thank gd i bought the jeep cheap so i dont feel so bad rebuilding a traniee...and for the post b4 if the popep car was for sale yes it would be a holy car!!

 

are the RIPP guys the original owners?

to touch on this and your other post, lets clear things up.

When you bought the JK from RIPP they told you to NOT have OD on in the city or did they tell you this after your transmission blew?

dude, if it was their 'show jeep' or 'demo jeep' that means they drove the crap out of it, burn outs and hammering it from a dead stop... I'm not surprised!

Spend the money and get a good aftermarket tranny, then use it like normal.

 

concider your jk holy then it was purchased from a angel !

when you awake from your dream it may have a new transmission ! till then have fun up on top of ol smokey all covered in snow , he lost his poor jeep there with no way to go! nice snorkle
