Default Black Wheel Durability

I am down to a few wheels for my JKU Rubicon. I would be happy with any of them, but now I am wondering about the durability. Is there one that you would suggest over the other or any to stay away from?

The rugged ridge is one of my final choices, but with the machined lip. That way weights and scrapes don't show as bad

I have heard the addicts are surprisingly durable and look good too

Anything coated or painted will pit or chip. If you're going to go off-road, they will show it after a while.

How does the finish hold up after going through rocks? I'm thinking of the silver ones...

Haven't gotten any rock rash yet so I can't answer that...sorry. I believe AEV sells a touch up kit for these. They look just like the spray bedliner stuff.

I have the silver rugged ridge and they are tore up. Black would show a lot of scrapes since it isnt black underneath.

I want to get the rings but not at $40 a pop.

Very good points. My set has held up well and have taken a beating ! These are not cheap but for a non-beadlock wheel, its very good. The spokes help protect the valve stem some also.
