Default Black Shackles

I did a search on black shackles and then responded to a thread before I realized it was in the freebies section so I'll post the question here. Hopefully this is the right place.

I'm looking for black shackles to match my new bumper. The mounts are about 1" holes so I'm looking at 7/8" pin. My real question is I've seen what appear to be powder coated black but how strong is the paint? Would I be better getting standard shackles and bedlining them? They will see some use but not alot. Or would I be better getting the black shackles and if the paint starts to chip, then bedline them? Thanks for any help.

I had a pair of black SmittyBilt's that were on my bumper for over 2 years. They faded a little bit from the sun, but no big deal. I just hit them with some spray paint.

as mentioned, you can get a set of smittybilt's from 4wd.com. they'll hold up for a while and can be touched up with black paint as needed.

I found more options of sizes and variety at the same site that sells the Recon winch. Not sure if I can post direct link but google "truck and winch". I went with the TuffStuff black since they were already a textured coat instead of glossy like the Smittybuilt. They also have different colors of pins if you wanted. They were cheaper too.
