Default Biggest tire on stock Rims

Hi,

I just got my first jeep (2015 Willys wheeler) and looking for advice on the biggest tire I can install on the stock rim without lifting or adding wheel spacers. The tires that came with the jeep are 255/75/17.

Thanks

I ran 37x12.5's for a couple years on my stock MOABs but the 9 1/2 wide wheels I have now drive better and the tires have a better wear patter at higher pressure.

What did you end up doin. Same truck here and I’m looking to know what you came up with. Im not using spacers as I’ve read they end up making things worse. I have to put tires on badly so it’s either stock or I was thinking 275/70/17 but there’s not many to choose from. Go to 285s and I believe spacers are inevitable. I’m willing to do a leveling kit but not spacers. Not sure how long the Jeep will stay like this and don’t want to cause other issues just want a little bigger for now as I need tires yesterday lol

Spacers aren't inevitable with 285's, you'll just lose a little turning radius and expect a little rubbing on plastic pieces in the front bumper every now and again. It's not a big deal. Folks have plenty of miles on spacers, provided you buy a reputable brand (spidertrax) and follow the directions, you'll be fine. I'm at 200k miles on mine without an issue.

My takeaway from this "get a better bumper while you're at it"

So now the deeper I dig through the pictures and my memory, the more is starting to come back. 285's rubbed on the front sway bar with zero lift and on the lower control arms with 2.5-3" lift. Bumper contact was 35's. I've attached a couple different pictures but they're with zero lift and 285/70-17's on stock wheels with 1.5" spidertrax spacers. Moving through the pictures, we've added the flat flares which gives it a "look" of more lift by adding gap in the fender. I'll have to add pictures later as the phone isn't cooperating.

So then it looks like 275/70/17 ko2 acts are all I’m gonna be able to swing for now with no lift. I don’t se many other 275s
