I have 35" toyo mt's on my stock rubi wheels and have 10k miles on them with no strangeness. I also have the dreaded 1/4" plate spacers on the rear to clear the control arms. This setup has been used and abused off road with not a single issue. This setup is highly criticized by the expurts. They are wrong.

Can you run the Cooper STT 295/70-17's on the stock Rubi wheels with only spacers? No lift!

I would not recommend it.........
.......but they might not rub at full lock and stuff IF you get different fenders or trim the OEM ones.
