BFG T/A KM2 or Dick CEPEK to replace stock Sahara
Ok guys need you to chime in. I do not do much offroad. I want to keep to the same Sahara 18 rims. But I want a tire with better looks. I do alot of highway though so they can't be too loud. What would you recommend.?

The KM2 is a great tire but it is better suited for someone who wheels at least 50% of the time. The KM2 is about as noisy as the Goodyear MTR. The Toyo Open Country MT would be a better tire for someone who does alot of highway driving. I have this tire on My LJ with over 70,000 miles on them and almost ready for a new set. Also I rotate my spare in the mix at every oil change. I've heard of guys with over 80,000 miles before replacing them. The Toyo's come in many sizes to fit 18" wheels, BUT, none of these tires even the Toyo's recommend putting them on any wheel less than 8.5 inches. The stock wheel is only 7.5 inches wide. Good Luck.

Hmmmm, ok thanks for that. Maybe I should leave well enough alone. I just thought I could get something more agressive without losing to much in the way of road noise and ride..... too bad

HOLD ON I just checked the Toyo site and they list the following sizes for the MT
LT285/75R18 7.5-9"
LT275/70R18 7-8.5"
Why couldn't I use one of these?

My 2 cents is, Even though we spend good money on the tires we do buy, but when they where out it is our excuse to justify new tires that just came out or we feel we need. So really with that in mind I am happy with 2-3 years tire life.

Do you first hand experience with the KM2s?

Is this from personal experience? I've never had any trouble and air them down to 15psi almost every weekend. But when on the road I run the proper air pressure and keep an eye on them. I guess two people can always have different experiences with the same product.
