Default BFG KM2's just got more noisy, any ideas?

Guys,

I've had 35x12.50x17's on my JK now for almost two years. For some strange reason, they seem to be getting louder with age. We just did a lift and tire swap on my brothers Rubicon last week, and his KM2's are much quieter than mine. I've gone back in and had them re-balanced. What would make them so unbearably noisy? Am I screwed here?

Thanks!

Check and see if they are cupping or uneven wear pattern...

Have you been rotating them regularly?

KM2's are known to become noisier when they get worn. They need to be rotated about every 3000 miles. It helps but, they are still loud.

They are cupped my man. Don't think there is much you can do at this point. I'm doing a five tire rotation every 3000 miles. I have had mine for about 7000 miles and I can already tell they are noisier than when they were new. I'm running Nitto Trail Grapplers. I think next time I'm going to go with a less aggressive tread pattern like maybe the terra grapplers.

I originally rotated mine every 10,000kms, but found they got really noisy for about a week after I rotated them. Started rotating every 5000kms and never had the problem again.

The KMs wear in an uneven manner. This creates a very noisey tire. I have 25000 miles on mine and its extremely loud. I have decided to just get new tires. My parents Rubicon has 35000 miles on the tires and they are also swapping them out because of noise. Just a bad tire in my opinion.
