Default BFG cupping issues

Anyone develop nasty cupping of the 32" BFG M/T's. Just curious. I have been doing a 5 tire rotation since day one every 7500 - 10000 miles and still developed it.

I have been rotating as well and have developed slight cupping. I don't know it alignment or balanced tires might play into this or the way one drives. I do know the cupping even out when I do rotate. I'm wondering if these type of tires just require more frequent rotations.

Mine have gotten so bad the whole Jeep just constantly rumbles. I know some people on here have a lot of faith in these tires, and they do well on the trail. Just wondering if there is something else I should be doing, short of rotating every oil change?

BFG MT's should be rotated every 3 to 4k.

A 7500-10000 mile rotation schedule is far too long for large lug tires. It really should be done every 5000 miles at the longest to help prevent cupping.

I would also recommend doing a chalk wear test to make sure you are running a pressure that uses the whole tread evenly. Too little will cause cupping on the outsides. Too much will cause excessive center wear.

Besides this.... Check the alignment. Too much or little toe is usually the culprit.

I clear my counter everytime I rotate and right now it has hit 3000. So I am ready to rotate. It could also be due to the material of tire. I mean they are mud tires and when you turn on pavement the lugs have got to move in different directions to cause the cupping. I just know in the past I had 33x12.50x15's on my Bronco. I never rotated like I should have. They did not last that long and I also had severe cupping.

i thought bad cupping on tires is a result of bad suspension struts/shocks. At least in my experience

Cupping of the tires can be caused by any number of issues. The biggest 2 are not rotating frequently enough and low tire pressure.

Even though they say it's an alignment issue, I also think you need the correct tire pressure for your set up. I had to play with the pressure of my Duratracs for some time before getting them to wear even.

Oh yeah...and I rotate all 5 tires at 3000 miles.
