I have read threw this thread and was wondering if all the rocker dents and everything was on the 4 doors or both? I have a 2 door and was looking for a set of sliders for light use and these looked good. Live in Mi and really only wheel the two tracks and at silver lake sand dunes so nothing to extreme. Two tracks aren't anything serious except when the get muddy

I have smittybilt rockrails on my 2010 two door and they saved my rocker panels more times then I care to count. I would cry if I spent $600-$800 on some pretty rocker guards and have them scrape all over the side of the mountain. I like my smittybilts for now. There are a few designs I like better

Thanks for the info looking for something to cover up that ugly body seam but if I come down a hill climb or find some rocks up here I won't be scared to bump them off of something

There's a lot of good choices out there. Smittybilt isn't bad for the price in my opinion. Granted I would like to get some of the billy rockers that nemesis industry's make. They are pricey, but man they are sweet.

I was warned before I bought these, that the bad fit may require some extra work. But I had little issues, and was able to fit them on both sides with little problems. Did it alone in 45 min.
But it's a common thing for these rails from Smittybuilt to have a poor fit from what I have heard.... So nothing wrong with the Jeep, just bad workmanship from Smittybuilt.
I like the look and the price, and also the ability to use them as a platform when I load/unload the roof rack.
