So I'll beat this horse once more. An example that's similar. Buy some steel strap (like 1/8") from Lowe's (Chinese sourced) and weld it. You'll get spatter and poor welds. Buy 1/8" steel strap from a steel company that sells U.S. steel and it'll almost weld itself. Anything that I think needs to hold for a long time or has safety involved, I stick with U.S. made... if it doesn't matter if it'll break, then I'll buy cheap.

Holds wheel on while going 70... Whose jeep can GET to 70?
I use the Rough country. Same metal. Was not brightly colored. It's plain aluminum color. Blends into rims and rotors. Never an issue. I check torque when rotating tires and never needed to tighten.
Don't skimp but there are many companies who make hi quality products.

I've been up there past 80, 90 too. Fun for short distance, but didn't want to push it.
Tell me what I missed in the metallurgy section, always willing to learn.

Nthinuf, I guess you don't have a response on what really makes different the material that has same specs, same metal and by all accounts is the same except color and brand. I'd assume since I genuinely asked for a lesson to learn something new, and time shows You can't tell me, that the reason can only be because there IS no reason except personal preference.
If I'm incorrect please teach me, metallurgy master.
