Default Bestop Trektop Major Leaks Morris 4X4 and Bestop warranty hassle

Bestop Trektop leaking terribly.

FYI for everyone... I am dealing with Morris 4X4 and Bestop for replacement parts; so far been a hassle all while water is pouring into my Jeep.

Top leaks like crazy. I recently moved to a place without a garage and now I see how terrible the top leaks. I have been receiving terrible service for a month now. The top leaks so bad that I had to remove all the carpet and leave drain plugs out. Mildew smell and puddles of water when rain is heavy.


Events:
March 9th 2016- Contacted Bestop
March 9th - Told to Call Morris
March 9th- Emailed support @ Morris
March 9th - Processed a replacement for rear glass and seals
March 17th- No response until I request update
March 18 - Morris says I should receive shipping info
March 21st - Morris says I receive the glass but weather seal is delayed.
April 3rd- Receive weather strip but no glass; I email Morris
April 5th -Morris provides a tracking number and said I should have the glass already but the tracking number is for the seal that I already received.
April 5th - Respond to Morris to clear this up
April 7th - Morris says Bestop should ship glass on the 11th
May 7th - Email Morris to see the status
May 9th - Still nothing
May 9th - Email Bestop and waiting for response

Check out the water and rust filled jack compartment and mold on mats.

Is this the trektop pro? I assume so since you said it has a rear glass.

Yes Pro with glass windows.

Top was great and looks like until it leaks

Wow. I had one and no leaks. Better than my HT which leaked at freedom tops

thats terrible man. im sorry your going thru all that. i know i wont be ordering from morris now. no reason things should take that long

I'm not fond of the service Morris has given me in the past but it looks like you've had water coming in the jack compartment for a while with some high iron content.......not over the course of a month and not unless you live next to a steel processing plant.

That genuinely sucks about the super expensive top leaking like crazy. I'd be highly irritated.

Truly sucks not getting anywhere with a vendor been there for other things but looks like you now have Morris's attention based on the post above. The only thing I can say is pick up the phone when issues arise. I know its 2016 and all and emails have their place but a call still out powers email when it comes to solving issues.
Good luck on getting it fixed.

So what exactly happened to the top it replaced? I'm confused why one would not put old top back on after major leak over and over. Unless you sold it. Then I can understand.

So I hate to be devils advocate here because I'm sure you're frustrated beyond belief. I don't get anything for free from Morris...I'm just local and I've traded a lot of money for good there! In fact this weekend I went there and they price matched something that I didn't think that they would. (Huge price difference).

With that said, just from what it sounds like, it seems Morris might be at the mercy of Bestop. Or maybe it's late I'm not understanding.

Nevertheless, I know it's super frustrating and I wish you the best of luck.
