Default Bestop Instatrunk question

With the Instatrunk installed, can you still access the jack area door...would a Tuffy locking cubby cover fit with the instatrunk?

I have the flexatrunk, but I'll throw out the answers based on what I have. Someone else might be able to come along and speak specifically for the instatrunk.

Yes you can still access the jack area, and since you can still use the factory "cubby lid", I'd assume the Tuffy would work as well.

I just installed the instatrunk over this weekend. Yes you can still access the "cubby" hole/jack area with it installed. My JK has the factory sub and it was still easy to install, took me about 40 minutes tops. Just make sure you have a few metric socets laying around.

You can still use the cubby hole. You can also even slide the lid out altogether, with the Instatrunk installed, if you need better access to the cubby hole. One thing to keep in mind, if it matters to you, is that the Instatrunk will not work with the soft top boot, from what I've been able to gather. When the soft top is folded down on top of the Instatrunk, it sits a little higher than it would without the Instatrunk, so the soft top boot won't be able to close around it.

Yes, everything works as it did before. I can fold the rear seat, lower the softtop, etc.... Its just now I can lockup my laptop in the rear of the vehicle and not have to try and fit it into my gym locker.

I should also point out that there really is no reason to install a tuffy cubby cover if you have the instatrunk. It's highly unlikely that anyone is going to get into it. I will also point out that while you can open the cubby, it doesn't open all the way. I didn't realize you could slide the cover portion out, I'll have to try that when I need more room to put things into/ get things out of the cubby.

My instatrunk was missing hardware and the drivers side bracket that should face the base of the rollbar for bolting up...was facing the front of the jeep Bent that puppy back to where it should be and found some extra bolts around my shop to finish the install. Crap...its always something.
