they make with or without factory sub. my question is, on the 2-door, if you have installed this, did it hamper the sound any of the factory sub? and how was the fit/finish? i had one in the tj and liked it.

I was wondering the same thing.
I bought the Tuffy sliding drawer. I haven't put it in yet, but it says it works with the sub. I pulled the sub out to put somewhere else because I assume that the sub pounding against a sheet of metal is going to make it sound like one of those crap-box Honda's where all you can here is the trunk vibrating.

I just installed mine on Saturday, but haven't listened to the stereo on a loud volume yet. I'll do it today & let you know my thoughts.
Edit:
Okay, I listened to a station with alot of bass in it at a high volume. No "tin" sound. The trunk is not entirely closed on the side with the subwoofer. There is about a 1/4" to 1/2" gap around the subwoofer to eliminate rubbing and vibration of the trunk against the sub. No problems here.
