Best way to strip bumper at home for bedlining?

Yeah I wish there was a cheaper alternative to it, every shop I've called in Calgary is come up to the same ~$160+ for the bumper itself.
One thing actually occurred to me is if sand blast the entire bumper then I am stuck painting the entire bumper... the issue areas are really only the front facing portions. The back side and inside are perfectly fine looking.
Do you think there would be an issue if I bed line just the visible front portion and not the backside/inside? I don't want any problems with the bedliner not sticking or having the edges peel or something...
