Best way to measure lift
#23
Damn. It was gettin lonely.
Sounds right for front and back to be the same.
I just went out and measured mine. With a TF2.5" coil lift and 9550s, AND a smitty OEM winch mount with XRC10comp winch, I've got 2.50" front and 2.75" rear OVER the stock dim's.
Guess its just me...feels like my nose is dragging the ground after winch install.

Just curious, wouldn't the measurement in the picture be different based on the spring from the factory. I know they are different numbers based on how the vehicle was equipped, but I doubt all jks have the same height from the factory?

Good point. So. Company X makes lifts. They say it's a 2" lift. 2" from what? What's the standard? I'm sure all of this could have been avoided if I had measured at stock. But I didn't. And I'm sure there are many others who didn't.
Maybe one of the companies on here would be kind enough to sing out?!?!

My Rancho 4 inch sport kit gave me about 6 1/2 inches, but I don't have anything to weigh it down. It's all stock on 255/75/17 BFG MT's. Picture below.
