So based on the comments so far, an Oil/Tranny/Cat skid is really all I need. What about an aftermarket cross member? How important is that? Should I just wait until I need to replace the stock one?

Haven't tested them too much yet ... But I got some scratch and dent deals on Rugged Ridge parts so I went with them ...
I currently have a HD Crossmember with RR skids ... ( painted the skids blue before install)
I also have the RR Evap skid and a cannot be named SwayBar skid.

I have the poison spider evap skid. I have Erin out often. And seen to many that have come off and people don't even realize they are gone. What the evap does I don't know. But it is there for a reason. And I'm sure that when they hook my jeep up for an inspection if it's not there I won't pass so. I figured 100. Is a small price to pay to make sure I don't loose mine.

I've been really happy with: Rugged Ridge front skid, Rancho oil pan armor, WP diff guards, and Poison Spyder evap can skid. Lots of evap skids to choose from, nice thing about the PS, it raises the can a very noticeable 3/4".
