Default Best Soft Top for JK Unlimited

I am looking to purchase a soft top so I can easily take the top down during the summer. Which one is the best? I see Best Top and Mopar. What's the difference between twill and ones that are not twill? Does anyone have the Best Top or Mopar soft top with spring lift assist? Do they leak and are the hard to install?

I have the Best Top Trek NX, easy to put up and take down. Its very convenient to use as a bikini type top or open the front section easily. I don't have any experience with the Mopar version. I have driven in some pretty hard rains lately with no leaks from the top itself. Since this is my first Jeep I'm not sure if this is normal but (specifically the fronts on my JKU) a steady stream of water about an half inch wide comes straight down about 6 inches from the front edge of the door once you open the door. I haven't had a chance to look into the problem (the way the top sits at that spot, etc...) but the channel is pretty small so I'm guessing the rain over runs it.

The "best" one out there in my opinion is the new premium softtop from Mopar.

Quite has the sunrider feature, top quality fabric, and folds back for open air driving/riding.

I had the frameless softtop on my TJ I liked it but not nearly as quite when up and takes longer to take completely off and back on. It was nice to take off the windows and back and have a safari top though.

Agreed - went with the Premium Mopar soft-top from a guy I found on CL, and love the Sunrider feature. Literally 2 minutes to get 2/3 of your top open. Also - not too hard to install, just make sure you bring a pliers to get the back windows zipped in.

I found a Mopar soft top on Quadratec for $1800. Is that the one everyone likes? http://www.quadratec.com/products/11105_1101_07.htm

This is my question as well. I want the mopar top. Have never seen one on CL near Des Moines Iowa. What are people paying for the new premium top. Should have got the dual top group.

I have both the Mopar and bestop trek NX. I prefer the trek NX, was a bitch to stretch out at first install. But it's good now and offers more open options. Looks awesome with the fast back. Get a lot of comments on it.

I have a 2013 with the premium soft top and it has not leaked a drop and has been sitting down pours for several days since I intalled it. It is extremely quiet and no more wind noise then my hard top, i was very suprised at this. So far so good.

I have my soft top that came with the jeep and it's in perfect condition. I'm willing to sell it to you for cheaper than a new one. It has tinted window inserts, all the bars are in place, easy install.
