How do the rancho's ride? I really want a softer ride on the road. My 2.2's are nice, but the jeep rides rough. I realize it's a jeep, but want a nicer ride.

How about Fox or Walker Evans -- anybody have them?

I have the QA1 Adventure Series, and I'm tired of them! The ends, although allow good articulation, clunk after a good run and then thereafter. 2nd set all around, and 3rd time replacing the replaceable ends and once again they clunk.

I have the Rancho's and love them. You can set up your ride anyway you like.

I have the Fox with remote reservoir shocks all the way around and love them. I have been running these on other vehicles as well, I also ran the Fox coil overs and love them. Fox makes a great shock and They are a very good shock for the price.

X2 on this. If you have the Fox, do you have the shock relocation brackets and do they work well?

Do you have something against OME because you are always knocking them so much? You appear to be in the know and I am in all relatively ignorant, getting OME mainly for the ride quality, but your info just seems somewhat contradictory to feedback I've received from people using OME, especially in the TJ crowd.

I also found the following info on the net that contradicts what you are saying...

www_man-a-fre.com/parts_accessories/omenitrochargershocks.htm

"If an OME unit and a mono unit of the same compressed length are fully extended, the OME unit will extend further. On 4x4 vehicles, therefore. the OME unit will allow the axle to drop down further and gain traction, dependent upon suspension design. The walking effect of your 4x4 may be limited by the shorter traveling mono-tube, but not by the Old Man Emu Nitrocharger."

I'm not trying to flame you or anything, just trying to figure out why, if your opinions are correct, so many people are wrong about the OME shocks.

Default superlift SSR by Bilstiens

The SSRs are cheaper, made by bilstein and I could not be happier. Look good and perform awsome..

OME's in my opinion ride the best. And there is a new longer set of shocks currently in production and will fit 3-5" lifts. But they will be another 1-2 months.
